If you missed the first two chapters of this riveting chicken series, catch up here:
Let’s Talk Chicken… chapter 2.
Onward.
This could be a trick question as chickens often eat ticks, but we’ll proceed anyway.
Let’s start with some interesting chicken facts.
Quick recap – You can’t beat a chicken off the line unless it’s at night… and if it catches you? It will unleash it’s inner T Rex.
My advice?
Don’t race a chicken.
More facts:
Quick recap – There’s no need to buy your chickens deodorant or a birthday cake.
Though wearing the hat can be quite stylish.
A 3 eyed chicken?
I’ve often thought having a third eye on the top of my head would be helpful, though it would be hard to find the right pair of sunglasses…
Next up –
Okay, whether you’re a chicken fan or not this is fascinating stuff.
They can literally be asleep and awake at the same time. How frickin’ cool is that?
Heck, I could snooze and finish off that 12 part documentary series about Heinrich Schliemann at the same time! (1)
So there you have it.
Never let it be said my blogs are not educational…
(1) A few years ago I started watching a PBS documentary series on the search for ancient Troy.
Was it dry? Perhaps a wee bit…
Was it boring? Not to a history buff like me… but the husband fell asleep approximately 7 minutes into each and every episode.
If he was a chicken we could have discussed it later.
That is a great birthday bird hat! Dr. Suess would be proud…

Asleep and awake at the same time. I’ll try this at my boss’s next staff meeting. Now which comes first, my retirement or my pink slip?

Ah… but if you were a chicken, you could get away with it.

If I could be asleep and awake at the same time there isn’t anything I couldn’t get done! I too watched that PBS special, I love History and I absorb it like a sponge, or a chocolate croissant, either way I love it! As for the chicken thing, I’m not a big fan unless they’re fried because as a kid my grandfather had tons of chickens around his house and they all seemed to hate me and chase me every time they saw me, freaking haters….
Maybe they were jealous because my grandfather would hold my hand, and they don’t have hands so, yeah but that’s just a guess.

Or maybe… they knew you were envisioning them batter and deep fried.
Chickens hate that.

If there are any Avam Cemani chickens in America (even if they came here legally), I hope Trump doesn’t find out, or he’ll tell those black chicks to go back where they came from

Ha!
I always wonder how Melania feels when he starts ranting on immigrants. She brought her parents over from Slovenia on a family unification program that Trump wants to drastically limit.

I wonder who Trump “wants to drastically limit” family unification to? Could it possibly have anything to do with skin color? If so, I would advise the Indonesian parents of any Avam Cemani chickens in America to wait until after the next election to seek unification.

I admit to having to look up that breed. This is the first thing that popped up, a little disturbing.

Beyond the fowl visual, the black chicken on the plate raises the disturbing question: WOULD IT BE MORE, OR LESS, FOUL IF IT WERE A WHITE CHICKEN?
On this point, I have suddenly become a vegetarian.

The fact that the first chicken image I found was a dead chicken image …. overrides color.

What is the point of chickens having one eye open at night if they can’t see in the dark?
