Tried to photograph 4 fawns frolicking around your back yard… at dusk…. through a window?
It’s not easy.
And most of your shots come out looking like this:
Or this:
They look rather like ghost deer…
But I assure you they were corporeal beings.
They just rarely stand still.
Or face the camera.
The video is poor quality, and a bit shaky…. although it gets slightly better halfway through.
But you’ll see what I mean about frolicking.
Multiple Bambis!
There.
You have now fulfilled your cuteness quota for the day.
I picked up a ghost fawn hitchhiker one dark night. He left quite a mess in my back seat…

Yes… but you were lucky enough to live through it and tell the tale.

River,
SOOOO CUTE! I can hardly stand it. Makes me want to frolick. And no one wants to see that! LOL. Mona

Out of focus/It’s too darned dark photos of wildlife are the bestest! The deer look cute (and pink).
Same theme, only with squirrels!

Grilled too many of them and paid out too much money to like them. Sorry.

In that case…. I think I prefer the zipped lip.

Bambi photos are never easy, as I’ve learned. You did well, though. I love the video – it never occurs to me that my camera does, in fact, take videos.

They’re adorable… but active!

It’s like a Disney movie out there, but with none of the parental death! It’s perfect!

Sadly, hunting season is around the corner. But our land, and many of our neighbors, is posted…. so hopefully they’re safe.

It be-hooves me to hope those fawn memories (unlike this comment) stay with you forever, my deer.

I love how the fawns are trying to drink milk and the mom’s like, “Get off me you little punks.” Saw the same the thing with sheep in England and Wales this summer. I’m guessing the babies aren’t as gentle as they could be.

When momma’s had enough… she’s HAD ENOUGH and will kick them away.

She doesn’t overindulged her children, then. I like that.
