Gather round students…. the Maine is this for real? Adult Education classes continue.
If you live in Maine you can learn some wonderful things. So far in this riveting series we’ve had:
You’re never too old to learn…. Spoons.
You’re never to old to learn…. Potatoes.
You’re never too old to learn…. Ukulele
You’re never too old to learn…. Chakra Toning.
You’re never too old to learn…. Mindfulness.
You’re never to old to learn…. Tin Cans.
You’re never too old to learn…. Knotweed Flutes.
And today we continue with Succulent Picture Frames.
(Disclaimer – This class does not require sucking. But I think that’s offered at PT’s Showclub in Portland.)
Course description:
Succulent Picture Frame
Having live plants around as we transition into fall will brighten every day and beautify your home. You will set up your own succulent picture frame with a variety of plants to create your own living art! You will also receive instruction on how to care for this gorgeous creation to enjoy it all year long. The price of the course includes all materials to make one succulent picture frame. Materials fee of $60 included in the price of the course. No discounts.
A frame. Made out of plants.
My first question is why?
Don’t get me wrong, I love plants… they’re beautiful and versatile.
As well as great disguises when you’re stalking an ex.
They can even rid your house of pesky flies… I get it.
Though we all know that can go horribly wrong…
But hell, I can hardly be bothered to dust my current picture frames, now they want me to water one?
No.
Because while I have lovely outdoor gardens, and a house full of healthy green leafy plants?
I will kill each and every succulent I touch.
I must over water….. or love them too much.
Because yes, apparently that’s a thing.
So if I want my walls to be covered in framed plants?
I’ll just dye my cobwebs green and call it good.
I killed a succulent once… a jade tree. It was easy. All I had to do was take care of it and want it to live…

That was your first mistake…. caring. Jade are spiteful that way.

Interesting. So, was there anything in this post below the Stormy Daniels ad?

Nothing earth shattering… no.

River,
Wait, why the Stormy Daniels ad? Hold on. I have to go back and re-read this…okay a non sequitur in pictures…got it! Was this a bet that you could work that into your post on succulents? And you kill succulents? Wow. That’s an interesting skill.

Believe it or not, I image searched the word sucking and that’s what popped up. 🤣
And yes, I kill every succulent I come across. It’s a gift.

A friend gave me a sprig of aloe 2 years ago. It grew like crazy until I almost wished it would die.
And then it did.

Second here on killing a jade tree, I’m like wtf, I took care of it. Maybe it was spiteful, yeah that’s what I’m thinking. Spiteful plants……aaaannnnnddd yesterday my son bought me a succulent…..I’ll report later on how it’s doing.

Your last idea gave me a brainstorm: I’ll paint the big bald spot on my head grey (to match what little hair remains) and call it good.
Hopefully, the brainstorm won’t wash the paint away before it dries.

Use oil based paint.
It lasts longer and will condition those few strands you have left.

Hooray! I clicked “Like” and it worked! I’m going to celebrate by painting the town red (and maybe my head too).

Wow….So much to learn and people “to do” in Maine. 😂😂😂😂
Why would anyone want a plant picture frame though? Is that a thing? Is it only me that’s annoyed by the concept? I’d rather have a big ole barn. 😃

I’m constantly surprised by the wackadoodle classes they offer here. And I don’t know if it’s a thing or not, but I don’t want one either.

Mix this class with a wine/beer tasting and imagine the fun! You know, like those “paint and sip” learn-to-watercolor classes. Who cares what the end product looks like (or if it survives, in the case of succulents)?

Beer and wine would improve any class… succulents or not.
