Maine is a quirky place.
The landscape is rugged….
And the weather is challenging to say the least.
So we tend to have a sense of humor about most things…
Even road signs.
Like this one I saw the other day.
Can you read the note to boaters?
” Attention Boaters!!
Unless your truck and trailer can fly, you can’t get to the boat launch!
Just sayin! ”

Daown Heah, we take our road signs as mere advisories … if it says “Bridge Out!”, you can bet some disbelieving local goober will try to drive across it.

There’s nothing I love more than a smart-ass sign in public. They’re few and far between here in Florida, where for some reason nobody has any sense of humor despite living in the most ridiculous state in the country.

I love the landscape, but if I had a boat (and only if), I’d be the one headed down that way because I would never have been able to read that itty bitty sign. Just saying. So I guess it’s a good thing that I don’t own a boat! Mona
