Which one of you boneheads is peeing in my birdbath every night?
Because this is getting old.
Every afternoon I clean out the birdbath.
Filling it with sparkling clean, cool water for our birds to drink and take a bath.
And then every morning I wake up to this:
Every single morning.
So…
Fun’s over. Admit your crime.
The midnight madness must stop.

Strange place to take a leak. Even stranger that the leaker pees orange.

At least it is not black. I have two geese, and their water turns as black as asphalt – after a couple of days. I’d like to know why, as well.

Yes, birds do use their “water” for defecating in, and I’d appreciate it if they would stop.

Pollen season is over. We get lots of yellow powder then, but it usually just lines the rim of the bath.

Wow, I’ve never seen nor have I ever heard of any birdbath having bright yellow urine in it. If you get to the bottom of this mystery please share your findings.

Looks like someone sneezed an entire container of turmeric.
Could be that your wildlife is hopped up on vitamins. Bright yellow pee is a result of synthetic vitamins.

I’d say that the birdbath is probably flame-resistant, so…it might be pretty if it has a flame coming out of it. The birds could gather ’round and roast marshmallows! LOL. ~ M

Apparently, bird baths can be contaminated by algae. The birds themselves are the ones that bring the algae from wherever they’ve been. And when they land in your bird bath, they deposit it into the water, turning it yellow or sometimes red.

It is, but algae grows really fast in the right conditions. Or it could be the asshole squirrel that planted a sunflower in your table planter peeing in your bird bath, lol.

Have you considered setting up a ‘night vision’ surveillance camera to catch the culprit(s) in the act? Possibly, urine big trouble unless you get to the bottom of this mystery.

Now that I think about it, my chickens water will start to turn red after a couple days – it’s a type of algae. I need to refresh the water often.
My geese water turns brown. I’ll bet we can all guess what causes that. LoL
