It was raining last weekend and the husband was lounging on the couch watching television.
But not just any random television…
No.
Can you tell what he had on?
It’s a true classic.

Some sort of creature from some dark lagoon, somewhere? I love that movie…

Bingo! The Creature From The Black Lagoon. Did you know there are two sequels? Sadly, I’ve never seen those…

Revenge of the Creature is pretty intense…

Creature from the Black Lagoon…..
My son and I watched a bunch of classic movies last weekend too. He’d never seen Bullit or The Great Escape with Steve McQueen so now he’s a Steve McQueen fan, lol.
Last night I saw Some Like It Hot and Dr. Strangelove, I forgot how hilarious Peter Sellers could be.

Husband watched Bullit as well.
He’s watching Vertigo as I write…

Remember that movie very well … unrequited love as he sadly returns to the swamp. That always wins.
I still had all my hearing way back then, and actors could clearly enunciate their lines.
Now it is all “mumble mumble mumble mumble … shriek!”. I gave up trying unless it is worth reading the subtitles …

I have the opposite problem. When we go to the movies I want to wear earplugs.. it’s always too damn loud.

I believe black and white tv was before my time. Bit too classic for me!

Mine too, but it’s still fun to watch!

Looks like you need a new TV.
The color looks completely off.

I’m not a big fan of “creature” movies, but back in the 1980s, Wes Craven directed something of a cult classic called SWAMP THING, if you or hubby are interested in that type of film.

Thank you, but no. One swampy creature is more than sufficient.

I should’ve called it a “camp classic” rather than a cult classic because it’s more “spoofy” than scary — but it’s rather RUSTic, so you probably wouldn’t like it anyway. 😉

Ha! You’re right… I definitely have enough rust.

I guess it’s true. In times of stress people turn to time-honored literature and art for comfort.

Nothing says comfort like a half man/half lizard swamp thing….
