(Please try to refrain from telling me where to go, although I know it’s tempting.)
Fair enough.
But since we’ve previously established my fondness for rocks…. it shouldn’t come as any surprise that I had a sudden itch to visit Spain when I saw this:
A town that’s literally built into a rock?
Oh, yes….
Hell yes!
I’m in.
Singular?
How about fan-fucking-tastic!
Check it…
These people love rocks more than I do!
Is this wonderfully bizarre… or what?
I totally want to go.
Free air conditioning!

That’s amazing. I’d like to see that.

And think of the money you’d save on shingles and roof repair!

I was thinking a few days ago about why roofs aren’t all one piece by now…

Guess you’ll have to get Kiss back together to write Sentinel de las Bodegas Rock City.

No.
There is no viable reason to get Kiss back together…
ever.

Not even to rock and roll all night and party every day?

I can do that without any help from Kiss… or Gene Simmon’s tongue thank you very much!

Matteo’s family home on Sardinia is built on rocks. They stick thru walls all over the inside of the house. I LOVE It.
This place looks like fun!! LET’S GO!!

I would go crazy there wondering if those rocks were properly roof bolted and shored. Working in mines does that to you …

Obviously you HAVE to go. Obviously I have to stay here and see the snaps later.

Obviously.
I’ll get right on that… you know, after I’m allowed to leave the house.

I’ve been to the HOUSE ON THE ROCK, but not the TOWN IN THE ROCK. If you’re ever in Wisconsin, check the outhouse — I mean, check out the house:

I’ve checked my share of outhouses, but thanks…. that looks more interesting.

I read a fellow blogger’s post about her time in this town a while back. It does look pretty cool, though the timing of your sudden desire to go to Spain is rather unfortunate. Chances are good the town will still be there when this pandemic is finished having its way with the human race, so you might consider going then. I, for one, have a trip to Spain planned and booked for this summer. It’s not looking good… 😦

That’s disappointing. You could have gone to my rock town and reported back.
