There’s nothing like the internet to make you feel inadequate.
And while I consider myself a relatively good cook, photos of the latest trend in baking shared by a friend are making me doubt my commitment.
Because, to be honest….
This type of magic never occurs in my kitchen.
I can’t even blame it on not having the time…
Because that’s something I have plenty of right now.
So all I can say is …. stop.
Stop making the rest of us look like slackers.
Asshole.
Now you’re just showing off.
Omg those are gorgeous. But what are they? Pizza? Pie? Sheet Pan something or other? Cake? What???

If you don’t operate a catering business – then you have nothing to worry about.
Your (inadequate artistry skill) doesn’t make you any less of a person.

Whew. Good thing because something that pretty won’t be seen here anytime soon.

Heck take ‘after’ pictures in my stomach and send it to them–I bet you won’t get any more food ‘art’ from them!!

They are gorgeous to look at, but I can’t imagine wanting to spend that much time doing that. I hate cooking enough as it is, I don’t want to spend all day trying to make it a work of art, too.

Those are beautiful! I tend to avoid Pinterest and every year when I host Back to School night with a roomful of parents, I make it clear to them that I am not a Pinterest Teacher, but more of a Pinterest Fail Teacher. I am not opposed to trying cutesy things, but as long as we are all clear that nothing I actually make will be positively received on Pinterest, we are all good.
Besides, those are too cute to eat and I would rather eat that sigh in admiration with a growling belly.

I’m not on Pinterest either. Who needs the pressure?

And then there’s the whole disheartening aspect of spending ALL that time creating and baking a gorgeous piece of art then some pack of low-grade relatives rips it apart and devours it in three seconds. I would snap…
