.
And I don’t like what it had to say.
.
.
Not one damn bit.
Sadly after all the roofing repairs my husband and his friends did the other day… nothing changed.
It’s still leaking.
.
.
So we went back up in the attic and realized the wood and shingles they replaced the other day probably weren’t high enough up on the roof.
.
.
So now our ceiling looks even worse.
.
.
And though he thinks he knows where to make the next repair?
.
.
It was on the day our first N’or Easter started blowing in… so I doubt it will be anytime soon.

Oh wow, I wish it snowed where I live! Can you throw a big tarp over it all and nail it down for a while? Bandaid fix?

Too much wind here. We’ve never had a tarp hold for long….

It seriously does.

That leak may not even be anywhere near where it is dripping. Water can be sneaky and run along way before it actually manifests itself in the form of damaging droplets.

Oh, it’s nowhere near. The water is actually running down a beam…

I was wondering when the Maine weather was going to start for you…

It was waiting for the roof to spring a leak.

Sorry to hear about this leak, I know from experience they are hard to detect. Wondering if you ever see the Northern Lights in Maine?

No, we can’t see them… though I sure wish we could.

Oh River….sorry to hear the repairs didn’t quite work out. And that storm is being a bastard by blowing through when your house needs attention. Mother nature is a bitch and she does this on purpose, you know that right?

It was a disappointment for sure. But we can’t really blame Mother..

Feel free to slap my Pollyanna face, but at least you DO have a home, when so many others don’t or are about to lose theirs…
On the flip side, my blog is littered with bitter posts wherein I yammered and spit about how my own house has not met my performance expectations, so I probably deserve that slap… 😉

You’re right, and I do realize how truly we blessed we are during these difficult times. But it’s not always easy to remember when water is dripping on your head.. in your living room, while you’re sitting in your easy chair, blogging on your phone.

If the leak gets worse, just go live in the barn. You’re well on your way to having all the creature comforts you need out there.

It’s an extreme way of getting out of replacing the roof, but that may have been the plan all along…..
