.
Before the snow fell, our resident rodent pest from Hell. red squirrel was busy.
.
.
Stealing seed from the birds and apples from the deer.
.
.
Seeds were stuffed in every conceivable hole and our deck looked like a fruit salad exploded.
.
.
But after the first snow storm?
.
.
She was a happy camper.
.
.
And remembered most of her stash spots.
.
.
Im sure that fruit tasted good.
.
.
She’s annoying.
.
.
But clever.
.
Well, at least you acknowledge that fact that she’s clever, lol.

If she’d stop trying to chew her way into our house I would!

If you didn’t keep her out of your attic, maybe she’d leave your deck alone. You must admit that wasn’t very nice of you.

She’s still breathing. I think that’s nice enough….

They are pretty good at predicting the weather. Ours beg like mad before a storm.

She is awfully cute, too.

The cuteness factor fades quickly, trust me.

I’m thinking, a 1 bedroom house on a post about 4-5 metres high with a spiral staircase that goes up around it – with little niches in the staircase for her seasonal stashing…

Yeah, I’ll get right on that.
Not!

I’m telling you: In a few months, the squirrel will be living inside and YOU’LL be on the snow-covered deck…

You’re probably right. I hope she throws us out some apples… it’s the least she can do.

I’m always amazed at their ability to find everything they buried!
