.
I’m going to bore you with more autumn photos.
.

.
Because even walking around the backyard is lovely during this season.
.

.
Blueberry bushes aren’t very attractive most of the year, but the red is pretty striking now.
.

.
And you’ll be happy to know the un-manning of the man cave porch continues… with 5 chrysanthemums and two pumpkins complementing the wreath.
.

.
Apples?
.

.
Our trees are bursting with more than we can use. But why are the best ones always so damned high up?
.
Because the bugs can’t reach them all the way up there!!

The womanfying of the man cave is going pretty darn good I think. Apples, geez I’d love to have a bushel or two. My mom has a recipe for individual apple pies that is a take on Puerto Rican recipe and it’s so freaking good.

I’m always looking for new apple recipes. Hint. Hint.

I remember picking blueberries with my cousins in Maine in July. I wish we could have gone back later in the year. They really are quite striking–enough to make up for the absence of blueberries.

The turkeys ate every single one of our blueberries this year. Very disappointing!

What a bounty of apples! Do you have a root cellar to store them over the winter?

We take what we want and leave the rest for the critters. Helps them make it through the winter.
