Leaf peeping season is crazy. We live here so we always catch it, but I feel sorry for tourists who have to plan accommodations a year ahead. There’s no way to predict when it will happen that far away….

As I recall from my ‘covered bridging’ days decades ago, there were (and probably still are) several covered bridges just off the Kancamagus Hwy, including one over the Swift River west of Conway.They make gorgeous fall photos. Did you ‘capture’ any of them on your trip?

We didn’t hit any bridges this time. To be honest it was a mostly cruising day…. The crowds were ridiculously large everywhere we wanted to stop.

This time last year we visited my brother in upstate New York (right across Lake Champlain from Burlington, Vermont.) Technically not ‘New England,’ but the drive through the Adirondacks looked quite similar…pretty damned impressive.
