The general idea is there…. but it’s lacking the magnificence of those wonderfully hairy legs.
And aside from the fact it looks like a giant tick, that leg fuzz is begging to be petted.

If I had a pet Yeti crab. I’d feed it crab grass so it wouldn’t have to grow food on its legs. I don’t have a crab apple tree, so i can’t feed it crab apples, but if the crab crabs about it, it’s on its own again.

So close to a coincidence, I think I can call it one anyway. I started to read this post when my partner decided to watch a program we taped last week called Big Pacific. This particular episode was about weird creatures in the Pacific Ocean, and their search for, you guessed it, food. Young whale sharks, their parents are the biggest animals in the world, can travel over 5500 miles in search of their ony food supply: plankton. The YETI CRAB did not make it onto this show. But I was thinking, if the Whale Shark carried its food wherever it went, HOW DAMN BIG WOULD IT GROW? As it is an adult grow to over 50 feet in length, and 15 feet wide, with a mouth 5 feet wide! (The Bowhead Whale, also a plankton eater, has the biggest mouth in the world!)
Anyways, reading about the Yeti Crab, and watching this show right after, is much to close to be called a coincidence, I think. But what else can it be? (Teilight Zone music is playing in your head, I bet. It is playing in mine.)

I’ve seen that show, it was wonderful. But then I’m a huge sucker for nature documentaries. David Attenborough rules!

Well, modern beauty says shaving and waxing is the way to go, so the drawing was probably catering to the modern image of beauty, thus the shaved legs in the drawing. But that crab really does look better au natural.
