We are catching up to the wildlife … we now have fecal matter transplants (FMT) to reintroduce the right kind of bacteria in people who have taken high powered antibiotics that killed all the good bacteria in the digestive system.

Rabbits have 2 types of poop… one is eaten. I don’t know the details but am guessing it to extract add’l nutrients.
