Here, the county doesn’t own a plow with which to knock down mailboxes. We have drunks and school busses for that ….

Snow plow took out my mailbox AND the 2″ angle iron pole it sat on!! I called the county. Told them they needed to fix it. They did.

Iron rods are illegal here. And if they knock it down? They tell you it was too close to the road and you have to fix it yourself.

Nope. This was here when I bought the place. And it’s far enough back they have to drive almost off the shoulder to get it. The damn snowplow driver needs to be a bit more careful. 16+ years it was ok. NOW he hits it? HIS fault. And I told them so.

My mailbox is bolted to the wall next to the front door, so if a plow ever takes that out, I’m going to have bigger fish to fry…
