Every time I finish one of these posts I think it will be my last, then I see something funny and realize I have to keep sharing.

They don’t call them Emperors for nothing.

Now that’s brilliant.

Will we ever hug again? I’m rethinking so many pre Covid normalities now. Hand shaking. Buffet dinners. *shudders*
.

.
This portrays my last two years perfectly.
.
Everyone around here hugs. All the time. Buffet? YOU BETCHA….

I use the covid buster handshake technique. I carry some hand sanitizer and, when I want to shake someone’s hand, I squeeze a bit out into my own hand, enough for both of us, shake smile and sanitize.
I learned another excellent way to open up to another person from a phlebotomist at the VA. He asked me if he could show me his face. That guy is going to save the freakin’ world.

I’ll pass on the gooey hand sanitizer and fall back on the age old chin tilt and what’s up greeting.

I want the vaccinated not a hugger t-shirt. My favorite part of the pandemic has been not hugging. ‘Tis no longer expected.

I don’t think I have a favorite part. Though I have saved a bunch of money on lipstick.

I miss hugging. I have been called the world’s greatest hugger by women from Halifax to Victoria (both in Canada) as well as most countries I have ever visited where hugging is socially accepted. Not sure why, but seems I do something right. Now my greatest talent is lost, and I have nothing to replace it. Having said that, Gail and I have no problem with Covid. We do what we have to, and just keep on keeping on. I guess we’re an “introverted” couple.

I’m not a germaphobe but the pandemic definitely has me looking things differently.

(Remember, this is a humour post.) But the germs are so tiny, you can’t look at them!

I like the I’m vaccinated not a hugger shirt, that’s just who I am. I’m affectionate with those I know, but random peeps…no. It’s amaking just how many unvaccinated idiots I’ve come across this past week. I went with my youngest to his cardiologist appointment and after he was taken in, there were seven people who came in afterwards. All of them were asked by the nice intake lady at the front desk if they had their COVID vaccinations and all of them, ALL OF THEM SAID NO!!! And one went as far as saying no and she’d never intended on getting them. I got up, walked out to wait for my son in my car. These asshole, ignorant, irresponsible people! Okay I’m done with my rant….🙄.

And yet to a man, when they’re lying in a hospital bed… all say they wish they’d had the shot. Funny how that works.

Speaking of Emperors, Trump never reported a single case of Covid either (other than his own)….but unfortunately, the white house he lived in wasn’t made of snow.

No. But I’d love to stick him on an arctic flow for a winter or two…

I saw a shirt (online, not to worry 🙂 ) that said “You read my shirt. That’s enough socializing for today.” 😀

Most online meetings we have, we leave the camera off. I shudder to think what it might look like if we didn’t…

After two years of teleworking? I’d say that’s a wise choice…

I’ve been to many buffets over the past year…just as recently as last weekend. You might say they’re par for the courses in my life.

All the buffets up here have been gone since Covid. Ditto the grocery store salad bars.
