Chicken helmets

.

Well color me surprised. I never even knew these things existed..

.

.

But now that I do? I really want to buy a set for our neighbor’s birds.

.

.

I’m not exactly sure what purpose they serve… do chickens play football? Or crash motorcycles?

.

.

Or as that picture suggests, go to war? Whatever the reason, a helmeted flock of chickens must be a wonderful sight to behold.

While researching this important topic I also came across this:

.

.

Because every well dressed chicken needs a good hat.

.

.

And if you think that’s ridiculous get a load of this-

.

.

A helmet and T Rex arms might be a bridge too far..

  1. And once the chickens have these helmets on, and then they discover their heads don’t get hurt during feeding time, what’s next? Chicken Wars! Instead of standing two feet apart, they will be fighting over the corn beside them. Chickens can get mighty aggressive. Helmets will lead to war, where once there was peace.

  2. I have to add….last week I went to my parents house in a rural part of El Paso. As I was a lock away I literally saw a choker cross the road….I wanted to take a picture but there was a line of cars behind me but I can’t believe I actually saw a chicken cross the road. No helmet, TRex arms or a crossing guard stop sign…..just there, crossing the road, I was amazed 😝.
