.
His Lordship was not on board with us taking another week long trip to Newport, Rhode Island.
.

.
And packing took a bit longer than anticipated….
.

.
But four hours later we checked into a nice resort on the harbor in downtown Newport.
.

.
We really enjoyed our first trip in March and since we didn’t have nearly enough time to see everything I wanted, trip number two happened the week before Memorial Day…. pre heavy tourist infestation.
.

.
We lucked out and got their best condo building. Top floor with balconies on each end, both with water views.
.

.
The drawback of that was a long narrow unit…
.

.
But it was comfortable…
.

.
And we didn’t spend much time there anyway.
.

.

.

.

.
The bathrooms were ample size.
.

.
The kitchen was not.
.

.
But we don’t cook on vacation, so who cares?
.

.
Morning coffee and tea on the balconies with these views wasn’t hard to take.
.

.

.

.
Sunsets at the cocktail hour were pretty sweet as well.
.

.
Stay tuned…
.
When we finally get around to traveling, once things are a little less chaotic in the USA, I’ll hit you up for some recommendations for places to stay. 😉

It was a little hard to get out of when wet with my bad knee, but it had a waterfall shower head so at least I didn’t have to climb.

i don’t see them very often but stayed in a house in albuquerque with one made of 1″ square ceramic tiles. I was super careful as i didn’t want to slip.

Now what is the draw to pull out of Maine and hit a Seaport in RI? Better food, drinks or history?

My husband was stationed at the Naval War College years ago… it’s also a beautiful area, full of history.
But basically, we just like to explore.

OK I get it my brother, dad were both with the 6th fleet. I just see Maine’s coast stunning and people much nicer up here 🙂

Newport is a fun place to visit. So much to see and do. We adore our state, but it’s always nice to get away.. and it’s a short drive.

Right having been a trucker I made the trip to RI as little as possible give me Beantown any day.

Those are some pretty small shoes on the bed. Are you sure Lord Monty is NOT going?

Oh, sweet! I guess we’ll be reading about geese and wind well into September now!

Geese will make a few appearances.
The wind was blowing, but not as powerfully as last time.
