In memoriam.

.

This is what gun violence looks like.

.

.

18 innocent lives lost.

They were bowling.

They were playing corn hole.

Yes, the gunman was found dead so we’re safe.

Or are we?

I’m not going to type his name because he’s not who I want to remember.

I’ll type these names instead…

Maine is still reeling from the shock.

We thought things like mass shootings couldn’t happen here.

We were wrong.

Hold your loved ones close tonight.

      1. Well regulated is far different than rogue vigilantism or neo nazi’s. America has had a track record of becoming a country with a hell of a lot of domestic terrorism.

      1. It’s something, but it’s far too late for the people who died by gun violence since he took his seat. (Over 25,000 in the States so far this year alone, I read somewhere!) Will he now fight, hard, to change the gun laws? That will be the question?

  2. The state where I grew up is a lot like Maine – in the rural areas everyone owns a gun and they honestly believe these incidents only happen in the big cities. I think it would really be a shock to them if it happened down the street. I understand their thinking having grown up with it but it makes me sad. So sorry for Maine. It is a beautiful state.
