.

.
I’ll start this off short and sweet.
I’m not a resolution maker. Never was, never will be. My willpower for just about everything is non existent so I refuse to set myself up for disappointment.
January first is just another day for me. I’ll be the same snarky, slightly ridiculous person I was December thirty first. Though admittedly, there might be a bit of a hangover involved.
How about you…
Are you a resolution maker?
.
I believe I proved that I was the kind to make New Year’s Resolutions…

And are therefore excused….

Naw. I set goals every month, i don’t always achieve them but i think one day worth of resolutions setb you up for failure.

Every month?
That’s twelve times the disappointment!
🤣

I didn’t say they were big goals. I think its far worse if someone says As a resolution I plan to lose 100 lbs where as if I say I will try to lose 8 lbs this month ya know is a bit more feasible.

Goals are a bit more in dept than a resolution

I don’t do resolutions either. But for this year I picked a word to set the tone for the whole year. I’m writing about it at the moment but the article is not ready yet.
My word came to me after much sinking and contemplating, and I put it up on the wall in late November to see if it will still resonate a month later. And yes it does.
Something new to try.. 😊

I resolve to make no New Year’s resolutions (even unspoken)
Except for the above, which I seem to have already broken.

A worthy endeavor.

I’ve been known to make (and break) a few (dozen) New Year’s resolutions in my time. Two resolutions I’ve made in my life that I have actually kept for years were not made on or around New Year. That must be the key.

Mid year resolutions? Why not…

New Years resolutions are nonsensical. I try to set small goals daily, like not to kill every bad driver in New Mexico on my way to work because they suck at driving in general. So, up until now a lot, I mean a lot of stupid drivers are still alive. See, small daily goals 😈🤣.

Then MN drivers and NM drivers have a lot in common.

Every Resolution I ever made has been broken by mid-January, so the only Resolution left is to make no Resolutions.

That’s my plan.

Nope. If I decide I want something done, I just go ahead and manifest it instead.
