I can’t remember who it was, but someone requested photos of our newly installed wall sconces when lit.

.
Seeing that it’s rarely going to happen due to the stupidly placed switch, this will be a one off.

.
I started with 40 watts which was way too bright, then dropped down to decorative 25 watt bulbs …
.

.
Which honestly, I still think is too bright.
Oh, well.

The sunrise light is always prettier.
.

.
And much more colorful.

I don’t think they’re too bright! It is the perfect look!!! So homey!! I think decorative lighting just “makes” any room. Ceiling lights should be done away with altogether!!! (Well, maybe not. There are those times when you lose something down behind the couch cushions and don’t dare stick your hand down in there to feel around since you can’t see it very well.)

Our master bedroom was an addition to the original house and the only room (besides the living room) without a ceiling light. I can’t tell you how often I’ve cursed that fact. They may not be attractive, but they’re useful.

True! Not often used, but very useful when they are needed!!

I’m telling you, just switch those out for smart bulbs that you can control from your phone. You can even adjust the brightness with the flick of a wrist. Easy, peasy!

I had requested the wall sconce pic and they look amazing! You must light them up more often. May be keep the path to the switch permanently open by adding a fence 😀 so that book weeds cannot smother it 🙂

The sconces look great! Maybe you’ll turn them on more in winter to provide that cozy atmosphere?
