It’s always something.

.

We had a terrible rain and wind storm two weeks ago. It wasn’t a N’or Easter but with 65 mph gusts and power outages it might as well have been.

.

.

When the power went out, I plopped myself down and read a book.

And watched the shingles on our roof flap.

That’s always fun.

.

.

Not.

My husband spent the next day on the roof replacing those we’d lost. Homeownership is a bitch.

Shortly after, his Harley returned from the shop.

.

.

Again

$1,500 later…

.

.

He’s sputtering about selling and I think he might finally be ready to let her go this time.

🤞

  1. Good on him for the shingles. The medicated swamp in my veins has messed up my balance to the point where I’m catching myself on the walls on my way to the bathroom.
Too bad about the Harley, I’m sure he’s not happy about the prospect of selling it. Don’t you guys have a friend with a hot red car? Building one could be a lot of fun. Good luck and stay dry.

  2. Yes, home ownership is a BITCH, I can attest! We had a horrible wind storm on Sunday and Monday, 70 MPH winds that also knocked out the power for three hours. Your hubs is a good guy, he’s probably wondering why y’all haven’t bought a huge RV and hit on the road yet, lol.

  3. You’re damn tootin.’ We’re looking a repair bill for a retaining wall and cracked driveway that is more than our first homes cost! Plus the pain of not having a driveway for a week.
