Autumn leaves and an artisan fair.

.

Another beautiful fall day, another scenic drive.

.

.

To a festival called Apples and Artisans.

.

.

Crafters, pumpkins, apples…

.

.

And gorgeous foliage.

.

.

Had to laugh at this license plate.

.

.

No dogs allowed.

.

.

The trees really put on a show last month.

  1. Beautiful…and people wonder why we live someplace where it gets cold.

I just bought some Stayman Winesaps from my favorite orchard. That and Macoun are two of my favorite varieties. He also makes cider and doesn’t pasteurize it, so I currently have some fermenting out on the table.

      1. LOL, sometimes we can get cider from Ha’s Apple Farm (which I think is in Apple Valley) at the local Farmer’s Market. But Andy is appalled at the cost and it is filtered. Also lacks the complexity of the cider I had in the east.

      2. We used to go to Apple Valley when I was a kid. I like watching the cider pressing and I miss picking crab apples. But, yeah… definitely not much complexity to tastes, and I don’t know of any cider worth a 4hr round trip!
