How blue are you?

.

We’ve been quite blue at Casa River lately.

And no, it’s not because my husband came home from the recycling barn with something atrocious or started another questionable project.

We’ve literally been blue.

Two blue.

Three blue.

Eight blue.

Nine blue.

Thirteen blue.

At one point we were seventeen blue but I couldn’t fit them all into one shot.

Now that’s blue!

  1. That’s so fun! They’re so pretty. Of course, I am partial to blue. When I finished reading, I saw a bird fly onto the fence. I hoped it would be a blue bird, but, nope, mourning dove. Less pretty, but also sweet.

  2. I have to say I prefer cardinals and red because they are more beautiful and attract my attention with their quiet dignity. Perhaps because they are beautiful but they don’t call attention to themselves. They just are.

  3. That’s a lot of blue. I can only imagine the amount of ‘commotion’ out there as I find them to be the noisiest of birds! (I do love seeing them, though!)

I saw ONE today in my little backyard. I noticed that your Jays look a little different than mine; upon research, they’re essentially the same species, but yours are bigger/bulkier. The web says it’s to protect them from the cold, and that makes perfect sense. Enjoy!!
