Strange but wonderful.

.

I bought an interesting desk calendar for the New Year last week.

.

.

It’s filled with bizarre facts about animals you didn’t need to know, but now will.. because I’m going to share all the weirdest.

.

.

Buttered popcorn scented musk glands?

.

.

That qualifies as weird in my book. And since I’d never heard of this creature I wasn’t going to take their drawing as proof…

.

.

But you have to admit..

.

Arctictis binturong sleep on branch

.

  1. He looks like a cross between a sloth and ummmm….well, I can’t think of what else it looks like. Pretty cool though; I wish my scent was as good as buttered popcorn.

  2. My question, is the binturong trying to attract a mate, or isis it trying to attract movie-going humans that it can just fall on and eat at its leisure. Looks to me, despite its size, that is is not much of a hunter, yet it has obviously survived for an inordinately long time. People do their best to avoid skunks, mink, beaver, and other what we call smelly beasts. The binturong, it came up with something to draw its victims to it. Pretty smart, if you ask me.
