Mother Nature has a nasty sense of humor.

.

After a horribly dry drought filled summer in Maine, we started to see some autumn rain.

.

.

You don’t realize how much you miss green grass until your lawn is brown and crunchy for a few months.

.

.

Add the beginning of turning fall leaves and you have the perfect combination of backyard colors.

.

.

Until this morning’s first frost.

.

.

A hard frost that looked like snow.

Seasons change, and I love it. But on Thursday it will be 70 degrees again, and that’s just Mother Nature screwing with us.

      1. This time of year we’re up and down. 30 this morning, bright sun and 60’s this afternoon. You never know…. but I just ordered $1,000 worth of fuel oil. It’s coming.

  1. No frost yet nut we do have the early fall leaves. I’m planning on posting some pics when I gather enough together. It’s real cloudy so the colors aren’t that bright. Shouldn’t be long. Enjoy it while you have it.

  2. Mother Nature is definitely a bitch. She loves doing shit like that and doesn’t care how many people she pisses off either. Like here it was freaking 84 degrees on Sunday and today its a cooler 61, she is having hot flashes for sure. It’s still raining off and on here as well, I’ve cut my grass three times since last Weds.
