More (not really) helpful survival tips.

A few more tips that are weird enough to share.

Well damn. That blows the veracity of every cartoon I watched as a kid right out of the water.

Okay, that’s a pretty handy tip if it works…. but am I the only one who substituted the word kindling for kindle every time they read it? Kindling is a noun, kindle is a verb. Unless they plan on setting their ereaders on fire… this is grammatically incorrect.

You know I’m going to try this, but since everyone’s hands are different sizes I may have more daylight left than you. Neener neener.

Yes. Because everyone has a termite mound in their backyard …

  1. the coconut thing is for real…it dehydrates you because it causes diarrhea/loss of electrolytes. Chewing gum wrappers must be the silver kind and who even chews that stuff anymore?lol..but i do carry batteries around- weirdly– even though most things are usb rechargeable these days. Not sure if the lithium kind would work this way- must try. Sun thing is legit. And now i am gonna research the termite thing. Possible , because many insects repel other insects..nice job here! love trivia!

  2. I did know that about the coconuts, I was a girl scout and our leader shared this with my troop. As for the battery, I did not know, and yes I was reading that like you thinking kindling not kindle. To me kindle is a horrid reading machine, lol. The sun hand thing is cute but like you my hands are different from every one else, so I’m not sure this would work efficiently. Yuck eating termites, no thank you I’d rather eat the coconut husk.

  3. Late to the party here, but maybe you have to have your arms extended and they figure that hand size is proportional to arm length, so a smaller hand closer to your eye covers the same distance as a larger hand farther from your eye. And you know what they say about hand size – bigger hand……….bigger glove.
