We’ve turned a corner here at Casa River.
.

.
A bright clean white corner.
.

.
The beam has been painted and the ceiling primed for popcorn. Things are looking up.
And by that, I mean I try not to look down because even though a plastic barrier wall was erected… everything is covered in drywall dust.
.

.
Every single nook and cranny.
.

.
Sigh…
🥴
.
That stuff goes everywhere. But the repair looks good!

I know the feeling and commiserate…my “better half” is currently pointing the stone wall entrance, which is right in the middle of our 200 year old house.

Quentin Crisp (I believe) said that if you leave dust long enough, it just builds up into attractive dunes…

We have a cat. Dunes wouldn’t last long….

Progress comes at a cost, of course. It looks good, though.

At this point I’m afraid to ask about the actual monetary cost.

Yep, even when it’s all finished… it’s still not finished. Construction: the gift that keeps on giving.

It’s got to be better than it was… I should just be happy with that.
