.
I saw this online the other day and realized damn, we may have to move to Denmark.
.

.
Imagine it.
People could borrow my husband and he could tell endless stories all day long. If that isn’t his idea of perfect I’ll eat my hat.
.

.
Guess I’d better brush up on my Danish.
🤣
.
He can tell stories, but no one knows to ask him except you. (Seems to me his stories and my stories would be a battle over the truth behind the 60s from different eyes. That might be fun.)

I’d listen to that conversation.

As long as we both agree that was 50 plus years ago, because I wouldn’t want him going to jail for murder. 🤣😇😇🤣

No worries, he’s mellowed a bit in old age.

No need to polish up that Danish – It’s a rare Dane who’s not fluent in English. The problem with my husband is he often tells the same story again and again…..

Of course they do. When you’ve got a hit you run with it…

Hm… Maybe I’ll send the teen girls to Denmark. 😉

What a cool concept. Have you considered starting something like that in your local library? That would be a great way for young people to volunteer their time — listen to old people go on and on and on…

That is pretty cool.

I think I could borrow your hubs for a while

Neat idea, but the reverse could also be interesting. Borrow a person at the library and they have to listen to YOU for 30 minutes. Get stuff off your chest, vent about your spouse/coworkers, confess to whatever sins you may have committed recently. The person you borrowed offers no advice – they just have to sit and listen…

That sounds like torture. No one would volunteer for that!

It does, doesn’t it? But there’ve gotta be some people out there who would do it, if for no other reason than to hear that others are as messed up (ore more) as they are.

Count me out.

Let me know when they upgrade story half hour to a person and two beers. Telling and listening is thirsty work…

If you go to a bar with my husband, every hour is story hour.

Do they slap you with a three-cent fine if you return the person 5 minutes late?

If my husband is going to participate there needs to be a cattle prod if you go over your allotted time and won’t stop talking.
