.
Prepping for our next renovation project… ceiling repair/paint and new flooring… meant emptying the room.
.

.
After stripping it to bare bones, I realized Lord Dudley Mountcatten was not pleased.
Because along with everything else that had to be moved? His scratching post would have to be temporarily relocated as well.
.

.
His Lordship is very attached to said post….
.

.
And did not easily relinquish his grip.
.
Lord Dudley certainly doesn’t appear to be losing his grip on reality anytime soon. It may be the case he and the post will have to be moved simultaneously. Good luck with that.🩹

Our cats are weird and don’t use the post at all. Neither have they ripped the settee.
Either they bite their nails like humans … or more likely us the trees in the garden / woods. 🙂

Dudley is literally the first cat we’ve had in 40 years who uses a scratching post.

I shouldn’t be a hypocrite, but his Lordship could use a treadmill with that post. Of course, it could just be his winter coat… those can make us all look a little puddingly.

His Lordship has gained a little weight. I believe it’s in sympathy with me…

He actually looks like he’s bewildered, lol. Creatures of habits them felines are, and if you disrupt their routine, the claws come out.
