Think of the beer money this could save…

.

I read this the other day and have to admit I was a little jealous.

Yes, it’s true… there is such a disorder. Something to do with fungi and bacteria in the gut turning carbs into alcohol.

And he works in a brewery?

That kind of symmetry is rare.

  1. There have been several cases of this here in the US as well. We also have the ability to make ethylene glycol (anti-freeze) in our gut as well. One mom (Patricia Stallings) was accused of poisoning her newborn with anti-freeze and was cleared after a third autopsy was performed and found the baby had an inherited gene that produces something so close to antifreeze it’s hard to tell apart from being poisoned. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patricia_Stallings

The human body is amazing and yet frustrating all at the same time. Like why can’t women just forego menopause? Why isn’t there a process that we can just skip over this body and mind altering internal warfare our bodies assault us with?

      1. You and me both. I wanted to be one of those women who’s menopause was “a breeze” like one of my aunts. She said she never got any bad symptoms in all her 8 years of going through “the change.” Ugh…

  2. I had some college friends who truly coulda saved a LOT of money if they had that kind of body. Then again, they were so drunk so often it would have been spent on munchies or something else really important to them.🍺
