Weeee!
.

.
Bye bye flat and awful industrial grade dusty rose horror the previous owners laid….
.

.
Welcome soft, plush, hella expensive but worth it Karastan Instinctive Flair Renoir Bisque.
.

.
Seriously, until you walk on this barefoot you can’t begin to know what I’m talking about. It’s smooth and silky and sheer perfection.
.

.
The installers were here for 6 hours, working nonstop… and they did a really nice job.
So nice, my husband took them out to the man cave/Barn Mahal for a cold beer.
.

.
And then proceeded to show them all his treasures.
.

.
They were a captive audience.
🤣
.
Oh that carpet really looks lovely to walk on. It looks very nice.
Your last line in your blog post really cracked me up laughing. 😂😂😂😂

It looks nice but walking on it barefoot is a dream….

That carpet is gorgeous and the men look happy. I know Hubby’s chest was sticking out!

He loves nothing more than sharing and explaining his treasures…

Oh, I can imagine walking on the silky carpet! Nice. The carpet crew actually look interested or are good actors!

Two of them liked antiques, I think the third was just happy for free beer.

Went with? It’s a top of the line Karastan. I didn’t exactly settle.
If you’re talking about color, yes. I’ll take my happy neutral over that awful pink any day.
😊

Yeah i strictly referring to the color…i live in an apartment i deal with what I have which is an ugly tan/brown so top of the line anything is out of my radar. Yeah I suppose ANYTHING IS better than pepto abysmal 😅

I love the color. For once I can put any color I want in there…

Still black, though it’s starting to fade a little. Still sore..

Congrats. We just discovered that our central air unit is kaput (and we’re in the midst of a heat wave). I’m sure that’ll be a similar instance of $$$$$/ahhhhhh.

Oh hell. That happened to us down south after a hurricane… what a nightmare.
But at least you have central air. We’re 90 degrees with high humidity with only a few window units. Those babies are crankin’!

True. I feel grateful for that, and I will continue to do so until the HVAC tech comes out and gives us our choices: either fix it for $$$ and get a few more years out of it, or pay $$$$$ for a new one.

I’ve often thought about putting central air in our house, but the price to retro fit everything would likely make me faint.

One good heat wave and you may faint anyway…

I can’t remember: is your husband back to work still or back to Retirement, Take II? If he’s still working, you can save up for central air!

He retired again, for good this time. And we’ve been doing steady home renovations for a solid year … to the tune of 90k (and counting 🥺). Central air will come after bathroom remodels I’m afraid.

As much as I like hardwood in the living room, that’s why I will always insist on carpet in the bedrooms. It just feels so nice to walk on!
