Say hello to Pearl.

.

Of course we had to have a torrential downpour when the scheduled pick up day for my new car arrived.

.

.

Flash flooding, road washouts.

It was raining so hard we had to go over all Pearl’s nifty features under cover in the service department.

.

.

When we got to the engine, I zoned out. As long as it starts and runs, I’m good.

This particular dealership is family owned and adds a few extra bennies when you purchase from them.

.

.

So after signing the papers and writing a whopping check, she was mine.

.

.

Pearl!

She drives like a dream and is chock full of fancy tech it will take me months to learn.

.

.

These were the instruction booklets in the glove box.

Yikes!

On top of that she comes with Starlink which the dealer activated.

.

.

Which reminded me of my first oil change appointment next year.

.

.

We never have work done on our cars at the dealerships because they’re ridiculously expensive, but kudos to them for trying.

😉

  1. First off, you will never, ever figure out all the gadgets, and even if you do, they are gadgets that you will never need (like seat warmers in Florida, and yes, our Infinity has them). Second, it is not rain, it is “climate change induced precipitation”, and we are keeping it from falling on the deserts, thus creating a worldwide imbalance of resource distribution. The cost to fix this travesty of liquid injustice is over a 5 trillion dollars, so please write a check for your fair share and send it your local weather reporter. He/She knows where to forward the monies received.

  2. I just saw a post about how much data car companies are collecting about you… everything documented when you purchased, everywhere you go, driving habits… on & on. There are ways to disable all but the info that was part of your purchase. This link will tell you what your car collects: vehicleprivacyreport.com

    That said, she’s GORGEOUS!!

  3. My car came with 3 free months of Sirius XM. They kept trying to get me to start paying for it. My 3 free months lasted 6 before they finally cut it off. And they lowered the price when it expired. I drive so little it wasn’t worth it at any price, but it was fun while it lasted.
