.
Even though Pearl came with 30 day temporary tags, I registered her and got plates on day two.

.
Maine is doing away with my favorite chickadee in a pine forest plate so I chose the loon on a lake this time around.
.

.
Pearl is snazzy, with two tone leather and suede interior.
.

.
Though the massive computer screen is taking a little getting used to.
.

.
My ‘14 had a small screen, but this one is like a movie theater.
.

.
So far I’m loving her.

Next step?
Sell poor Ethel who’s feeling left out in the background.
😉

Pearl sure is fancy, and I know what you mean about the huge screen. My car doesn’t have any smart screen, but the rental did and it was more of a distraction than anything. But one does get use to it after about a week. Ethel will get a new loving home I’m sure.

Subarus hold their value well and are very popular up here. I’m not worried… though I will miss her.

Your car screen is bigger than my first TV set. My, how technology creates memories. Is your new car voice activated? That is something I could not get used to. Knowing my lack of patience and overdemanding compliance, my car and I would surely get into arguments.

Yes, she has a voice command button. Scared the hell out of us when my husband pushed it by accident…

Crap, I would then have TWO side seat drivers.

Pearl is beautiful!!!! I hope you have many happy trouble-free years with her. I found all the tech a bit overwhelming at first anytime I got a new car, but quickly I missed it if I was in someone else’s older vehicle. I was recently road-tripping in a 2017 Winnebago and I really missed the USB ports, GPS, Apple CarPlay (including asking Siri to look up things for me) and blind-spot detection…among other things! How quickly we adapt…

That’s true. It’s a bit daunting now but will soon be old hat, I’m sure.

I don’t like everything being on a screen, cause you have to look at it. With old skool buttons and knobs, you can do things without looking.
Do you pay extra for a pretty plate? I haven’t gotten one due to the extra $50-$100, annually, that I’d have to pay (SoCal). Also, there’s a dog platebut not a cat one. Boo! (Lol)
I’m glad you’re enjoying Pearl!!

The loon costs $15 to renew with proceeds going to an environmental fund. And Pearl still has two knobs to turn on and tune the radio. Though she also has voice command so you don’t have to look to do things..

The loon is the Minnesota state bird. I can’t help feeling like you chose that plate with me in mind, so thank you. 😉

About my only regret moving from South Dakota to Wisconsin was not being able to get my awesome vanity plate out here.
Amazing how big those consoles have gotten! Pretty soon they’ll block your view out the windshield.

The suede is a really nice touch. Not sure how well it will wear with time but it sure is nice now.
