Nice! Same where I live, too much light pollution to get a great shot of the moon. And I live next door to an army base so there is always something going on, inbound and outbound flights of some sort. Military helicopters and planes all hours of the day and night. Glad you are able to provide us with those beautiful photos though, so thank you 😉

I once read about moon halos, and moon rainbows, but all I recall is “ice crystals or something”. Nice pics!!

Moonlight bouncing off of high altitude ice particles! But the ring only happens when particles, moon, and observer are at very specific angles from each other. (I put a pic of this on my Instagram years ago and tagged a space guy.)

Ice crystals in the atmosphere, often indicative of an approaching storm. Nature sure is beautiful!
