I don’t know if this first one is true, but I really hope so. The cuteness factor is off the charts.

And because I’m nerdy enough to get a giant kick out of this –

Murphy’s cat? Uncannily accurate.
As my loyal readers know, adjusting to retirement has not been easy for my husband. Feeling useless and unproductive with endless hours to fill has been driving him a bit batty. I’ve given him numerous suggestions, none of which have been to his liking.
And then I saw this…
.

.
Now that’s a retirement career he’s well suited for!
Without starting a political argument, I’m just going to drop the following photo here. Taken at the FBI, it shows a worker following orders to paint.
.

.
The fact that he’s been ordered to paint over awful words like fairness, respect and integrity speaks volumes.
😥

Reading this article makes me realize that American shellfish are complete slackers. Let’s put those suckers to work!
.

.
I’m ending this post with Lord Dudley Mountcatten, staring me down for no good reason. Just because he can.

“You can’t tell if a gun is loaded until the trigger is pulled.” You might want to run that one by your husband. I nap with at least one cat a day and you’re absolutely right. Who wouldn’t want to do that?

I don’t nap, but if I did… I’d totally volunteer.

I wrote something about Chekhov’s Gun shortly before reading this. It will appear in a few days when I finish the rest of the post. Mediocre minds think alike! I may have to copy and repost that chart.
I am so glad that integrity will no longer be tolerated at the FBI. And I wonder how much we could spend to develop a sensor and switching system as sensitive as the mussels?

Feel free to share the chart. We mediocre minds must unite.

I love this, well most of it. The FBI headquarters being painted over is infuriating. But the mouse in tennis balls and the mussels and clams being used as water sensors, and of course the retiree cat napper/shelter volunteer, absolute wonderful!!

Most hard news these days is infuriating, hence the mice and catnappers… we need a break.

I think all of the American shellfish were fired late Friday night. Also not to start a political discussion or otherwise indicate any displeasure with the current state of affairs. Greeting to the lord of the manor as well.

A Friday night shellfish massacre? Nothing would surprise me at this point…

Better to nap with dogs. Their claws are not as sharp.

I like the nerdy grid that EXPLAINS IT ALL. I’ll be chuckling about it, referring to it as necessary.

Gawd, not just painting over the oh soooo offensive “diversity”, but psinting over cheerfulcolors with ‘depression gray’.
I’m a great cat napper. If it was a volunteer option anywhere around here, I’d be on it in a heartbeat!

I think depression grey is a perfect compliment to the current administration.

Agreed!!
It strongly reminds me of a workplace that did a similar “makeover”. One boss got so annoyed that she brought in her own crew on a weekend and had her office repainted in a nice pale peach.

I work for a WaterGov (this word was inspired by CheeseGov) so I immediately had to check, and yes they do use mussels. You have to wonder who came up with this idea. Nature’s got this 😍

Left to her own devices, nature’s got everything. We just need to get out of her way.

Those tennis balls would go over a treat at that cat shelter. And make tennis games more interesting (and just a hair louder).

A professional catnapper? I’m down with this too!

Those mice will be super safe from everything except Labrador retrievers.

I kinda hope he’s painting a giant WTF.

I napped with two cats today, and I have one napping on my outstretched legs as I type this. Clearly I’m ready for retirement!
I notice he’s also painting over the word “stability,” which also speaks volumes. And he’s doing it in gunmetal gray. How very Soviet. 😡

Seems appropriate.
