Not your average map.

A few more amusing regional maps for your consideration.

Lewiston, Maine is an old mill town gone to seed. It tries to put on a pretty face with downtown rejuvenation projects but to my mind will always be a poor, sad relative to its coastal cousins.

If I lived there? I’d be drunk as well.

This is a map no one really needs to see, but Italy?

What the utter hell!

Proud to have the most trees, that’s me!

Most excellent.

I love cows.

Though it seems a little strange Wisconsin was singled out for cow ratio when it turns out they didn’t make the top bovine tier.

  1. The reason we’re all so drunk is the demise of the family dairy farm. Now that people outnumber cows, and there are no outhouses to tip over, there’s nothing to do but drink here in WI.

I’d be worried about North Macedonia where they have only one bowel movement/week.

  2. My grandmothers (one Norwegian and the other Swedish) would never have answered a question regarding their bowel habits! And their husbands were scared shitless of them! Thus answering the age old question of why don’t they shit in the North countries. Chico is a big time college party town.

  3. I live close to the Wisconsin border. That’s close enough after 18 years of actually living there. The husband and I have an ongoing joke about drinking and driving laws in Wisconsin. We say that in Wisconsin, it’s against the law if you AREN’T drinking while you’re driving. 😉 Not true, of course, but we like to poke fun.
