Bird nerd, robotic doctors and things that make me glad I’m old.

.

This first story is my worst nightmare come to life.

.

.

No.

Thank.

You!

.

.

Nope.

Not this chick.

.

.

We’ve had a banner batch of Baltimore Orioles this year.

.

.

They disappear when the temperatures rise but a cool spring has made for beautiful bursts of backyard color.

.

.

Ordering a drink with that name is not my idea of spreading love.

.

.

A rare bird sighting at Casa River.

.

.

A gorgeous Scarlet Bunting.

❤️

.

.

I don’t need to know anything, and certainly not five things.

This makes me very glad I’m old (er) and not actively dating.

🤣

  1. Those shock value drink names always seem to be derogatory toward women. So misogynistic.
And I’m with you on the AI hospital. Death might be preferable. Of course, waking up from your state of unconsciousness and seeing one of those “faces” peering down at you might just cause death from shock.

  2. If you hadn’t mentioned the drink name, I wouldn’t have looked at it because the drink looks pretty good actually. So now we need to create our own recipe and name it something more appropriate. 🥴

I love the bird pictures. We have two Cardinals who sing all day around here and sometimes I see them too even though I don’t have a bird feeder out now with all the Bunkie construction. But next year…

  3. I would die of joy at seeing the Orioles and that Bunting; SWOON!

I’m not bleaching anything other than my white towels, on occasion.

Big Titty Ho? Are you sure Grandma came up with that name?

  4. What happened to cocktail names like, Sex on the Beach? I mean seriously, so annoying. As for those AI doctors or should I say entire hospital, I’m right there with you. It’s the Terminator come to life, imagine waking up from anesthesia and looking straight into that?! Oh hell no! As someone who worked in a medical school, I can tell you every OBGYN says your not suppose to use anything but mild soap down there, let alone bleach.

  5. I KNEW IT!!! I recognized your style! Rivergirl from Blogster!!! Wonderful to connect with you again. (Vero from Blogster) I am just starting here. I’m doing my own site and just about half-way know what I’m doing, lol Look forward to reading your posts!

  6. Long drink names are usually shoryhand for their ingredients… but I’ve got no idea what any of those would be!

I’m 50/50 on the AI medical care… it would be nice to actually get an appt and, in theory, no human doc should lower prices in the US. Then again, there was just a report of multiple AIs defying direct orders to shut off, which concerned even the developers.

    The birdies are gorgeous!!

  7. Since there is no god for the USA to be a nation under, Trump usurped the non-existent empty throne. Chickens coming home to roost.
There’s more Christians believing Trump is god than there are Atheists believing in no god!

      1. Christianity is a mindset. If you believe in what your preachers are giving you, you will believe anything. Trump is an idiot, but he says he is a Christian, so they believe him. The thing is, THEY WANT YO BELIEVE HE IS WHAT HE SAYS HE IS. It doesn’t matter to them every word that comes 9ut of his mouth is a lie!

  8. The poor Chinese. Whoo-hoo on the Scarlett Bunting sighting! What a thrill that would be! I’d love a visit from Bones (Dr. McCoy on Star trek) with his magic healing wand but he at least was human – or a reasonable facsimile!

  9. I could see an an algorithm managing a diagnosis–it’s just hunting for symptoms. But I could do that myself. Treatment on the other hand? I’d like a doctor who has treated other patients and seen various outcomes personally.
