.
A friend of ours had to go in the hospital for pancreatic surgery recently so we ordered a bouquet from our outstanding local florist to brighten up his room.
.

.
The arrangement was so beautiful I wanted to keep it myself, but I did the right thing and rode with it on my lap for the drive up the coast to the medical center.
.

.
I didn’t even know this hospital existed.
But north on Route 1, past a boat with a beard…
.

.
And a non partisan political sign…
.

.
On a peninsula in Damarriscotta, stood a waterfront hospital with rooms that really didn’t require cheering up.
.

.
Talk about gilding the lily.
He had a corner private room with a view that can’t be anything but healing.
❤️
.
Still a very nice gesture. I hope the surgery is successful and he recovers quickly.

We were bringing flowers to a man, I figured pink sweetheart roses weren’t appropriate.

Recovering from Pancreatic surgery requires a WHOLE lot of healing!

This was done laparoscopically so he was home in two days. But yea, I imagine it will…

Wow, that room is so nice, now *I* want to need pancreatic surgery!
Oh, and the flowers are very nice too.

That looks like such a gorgeous area. I guess if you have to have surgery, that’s where you want to be.

During my last hospital stay many years ago, my room had a great view of Mount Hood out the window. It definitely helped ease my stress a bit.

Sadly it’s spread to his lymph nodes and his biopsy came back stage 3 so he will be starting chemo shortly. Cancer is such an evil disease…
