Maps

.

Because everyone needs more maps.

Maine is clearly Team Cat.

Lord Dudley Mountcatten approves.

.

Well done Colorado.

Though the fact that there’s a CDC Surveillance System tracking these stats has me a bit worried.

.

How do you say pecan?

I’m in a green area but pronounce it more like the blue people do.

.

.

This definitely puts it in perspective.

Poetry in Stephen King country?

I call foul.

Maine does indeed celebrate Patriot’s Day.

If they’re red, I’m doomed.

But we feed the greys well and could probably survive the squirrel apocalypse.

  1. In my part of Texas we say “pa-con” like normal people lol. And yes, Texas has it’s own power grid, actually it has several power grids. A couple of years ago when the winter storms hit east Texas (remember when Ted Cruz left for Cancun and left the state?) they lost power but in far West Texas the power was still on because for some reason we here, are hooked up to a different power grid than the rest of Texas. As for the genre of books that Texas reads more of, fiction is probably the best way to describe the state government.

  2. Hawaii has a lot of endangered bird species and chickens run wild so cat people are strongly urged to keep kitty indoors. Definitely not a cat friendly place!

In the rural parts of California – ranch land – it’s legal for people to shoot squirrels and they do! My SIL, who was raised in one such area, was horrified that we actually fed the squirrels. Horrified! i kid you not!

  3. Poetry in Stephen King country? Poetry in Pennsylvania? I thought these maps were having a pretty good run here, but that book one gives me pause. Oh, and our squirrels here would like a recount. They don’t think all their precincts were included.

  4. Why does West Virginia exist – hahahaha!

South Carolina has earthquakes?!?!? And here I thought hurricanes were their most worrisome natural disaster. I don’t read romance novels, but since my fellow Minnesotans clearly do, I’m assuming they do it to keep warm on -20 degree days, like today.
