As I mentioned previously we are minus a chair cushion on the barn porch furniture…
.

.
And a nesting woodchuck is as good as an excuse as any to shop for a new set. (We’d had this one for 14 years. It was time)
You may remember how ridiculously time consuming furniture shopping with my husband can be. Don’t let them tell you that women are hard to please… my man’s middle name is Goldilocks. Nothing is ever quite right.

.
This set?
Too grey.
.

.
This set?
He’s not a sectional fan.
And so our visit to the first store went. Until he found this…
.

.
I liked the set, it was attractive, well made and comfortable….but after an unheard of viewing of only a quarter of one store?
The husband fell in love.
.

.
With, God help me… a recliner.
An outdoor recliner.
I didn’t even know there was such a thing. And to be honest, I wasn’t thrilled with the discovery.
🥴
I’m not a recliner fan, never have been. (It took me damn near 20 years to get rid of the one we had in our den. 😡)
But oh, my husband was a happy camper.
So much so, he wouldn’t even get out of the damn thing to talk to the salesman.
.

.
I tried to talk him into the swivel chair instead but he was having none of that.
So my husband, the man who grumbles at high prices and cushions that aren’t firm enough and styles that are too modern…. happily ordered this not inexpensive set with nary a blink.
To say I was shocked is an understatement. But we are now the proud owners of a couch, love seat, tile coffee table … and an outdoor recliner. Delivery next week.
.

.
I thought these little boat shaped bundles of greenery were cute… until I saw the price.
$199. Each.
For plastic plants!
WTH?
.
I laughed. I’m proud of you for going with success!
