Let’s play.

Happy Friday!

Since I don’t drink coffee, I’m going to take blogging liberty and switch mine to tea.

I doubt it will come at as any surprise that I hate the heat. I detest sweaty, humid summers and long for cool, crisp autumn temperatures.

I drink iced tea all year long. Fresh brewed, unsweetened with a slice of lemon.

So yes, I pick cold in winter.

How about you?

  1. Hot coffee, hot tea all year round, thank you. No ice cubes ever in anything. I don’t even have ice cube trays. I order drinks without ice and have to fish out the ice if they do come with it. Cold liquid upsets my stomach something fierce.

  2. Having a cup of iced coffee is the least of my worries today! I loved it when they brought me hot coffee ready made with sweet and low and cream the morning after hip replacement surgery. Finally home and being able to tentatively very slowly get the ice coffee myself is a sweet reminder. It is still not over until the fat lady sings and a long recovery but the coffee helps! My husband drinks lots of sweet tea!

      1. I think it will be. They said I am doing well. The husband who you follow had a bit of a relapse and they send him to the Emergency Dept. last night my first night back regarding low iron. He is at the VA now and then we will load him on iron rich foods. I am good but it has been challenging; however, the people I interacted with at the hospital were great! I did expect to stay and be discharged on Sat. but they said I was good to go. It was nice to be taken care of by ordering meals, and lots of check ins for a week! Thank you!

      2. Thanks, he is truly often in bad shape and so many docs and fellows at times. But during my surgery and the week following, he made it through and so well. Well, having the surgery sooner than later is the best because one never knows what will happen but they do look out for both of us very well. I am discovering this now that I am the patient.

      3. Just the fact that I did not have to wait until 2027 is good timing! There is pain but I feel like a huge weight is off my shoulders and they will find out why Mike is losing iron so quickly~ thank you@

  3. Since I’m currently sitting in 90⁰ humid heat, drinking a hot coffee, I think we know my answer.

I’ll switch to unsweetened “iced” tea soon (which is my default drink), but it will be room temp cause I’m too lazy to get ice cubes that are gonna melt in 2 min.

      1. I get large (40pz, I think) teas at DelTaco (my fave drive-thru iced tea) and reuse the cups at home. 1 or 2 are for my drinks. The rest are for scooping dry cat food or using to refill outdoor water bowls.
