Because Babs and I need to chat….

I’m going to take a (semi) serious moment here.

Dear Barbra Streisand,

I’m not a fan.

I’ve never been a fan.

And while I admit to liking The Way We Were back in the day, that had more to do with a young, delicious Robert Redford than you.

Okay, I get it.

You can sing.

But your poor me, I’m an ugly Jewish girl persona wears thin. You’re a multi millionaire, surrounded by luxury, awards and adored by half the world….

So your nose is big.

Boo frickin’ hoo.

Get over it!

My butt is big and I don’t have millions of dollars, but you don’t hear me whining.

(Well, maybe a little.)

That being said, I suppose it shouldn’t surprise me that your recent comments about Micheal Jackson’s accusers left me liking you even less.

Could you have been any more callous?

I don’t think so.

In an interview with The Times of London published on Friday, Ms. Streisand also showed sympathy for Mr. Jackson, saying, “His sexual needs were his sexual needs, coming from whatever childhood he has or whatever DNA he has.”

“You can say ‘molested,’ but those children, they were thrilled to be there,” she continued. “They both married and they both have children, so it didn’t kill them.”

No, it didn’t kill them.

But wow.

You said Micheal Jackson had pedophile DNA.

If you watched  “Leaving Neverland”  and gave a statement like that?

You are one cold hearted bitch and have lost the single grain of respect I previously had for you.

A thoroughly disgusted non fan.

  1. I’ve never been a fan of Barbra either. Her music is too schmaltzy for me. I didn’t know she’d say this, but there you go. Another reason to ignore her, even if she did marry that cute young doctor from Marcus Welby, M.D.

  2. Diversity is not when people look different but think the same. Diversity is when someone says, “Uh, maybe you might want to tighten the connection that runs between your mouth and your brain.”

  3. … yeah, a lot of kids do survive sexual abuse. But to excuse the abusers behavior on that factoid is calloused and a bit elitist. But then, Babs was never my cup of tea anyway … I have a whole litany of things I dislike about her.

  4. Okay as of today we are revoking your HONORARY (which I forced the committee to issue to you!) Gay card!!! NO ONE WHO SAYS ANYTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT MS. STREISAND (and, please, though she is rich she still deserves respect–do not call her Babs without her permission–I, who have been a devoted slave to her since I saw her at the Bon Soir on 8th street in the late 1950s, wouldn’t think of calling her Babs!!) does not have the privilege of having a Gay card.

Just a question–how do you feel about the millions of people who still worship Jackson and keep on pouring millions into his estate?

Last but not least you do know she has a gay son–Jason–don’t you?

PS I must say I love the condescending comments about Ms. Streisand by your followers. LOL

    1. Sorry, I knew this wouldn’t sit well with you…. but watching Leaving Neverland really bothered me and when I read what she said? She bothered me.
As for Jackson’s followers, they bother me as well. I was never a fan, but now I can’t even stand the sound of his music.
As for her gay son? I’m glad she loves and accepts him, but her views on Jackson and his predator behavior disgust me.

  5. Word!!!!

I couldn’t believe it when I read that she had said that. I actually thought it was “fake news” because it was so incredible.

P.S. Big butts are in RiverGirl. Women are spending several thousands of dollars for butt injections and butt surgery in order to acquire a more sizable butt. Be thankful. I know I am (now let me go do my squats 😉).

  6. That was a weird thing for Barbara to say. On the other hand, you can’t believe everything you see in a shockumentary.
