The Japanese Iris kind.
They don’t last long.
But they sure are pretty while they’re here.
Especially after a rain shower.

I don’t remember the last time I saw an iris bloom–they don’t grow down here because they don’t get the cold winter weather the bulb needs.

I once had a girlfriend named Iris. but she didn’t last long either…. even after I once left her waiting in the rain. I guess I needed the shower more than her. 😉

We have a bunch in our backyard, and you’re right: it’s a case of here today, gone tomorrow. But they’re beautiful for the brief time they are in bloom!
