I’ve been feeling that way for the past few years, but maybe that’s just me.

Pardon me however given the recent several years I am a feared that we may be looking back at 2021 thinking them was good times. Just sayin… and until then WTFWT
I have to agree with John Hric. Let’s not rag on 2021 too hard. We did get a vaccine at least, but the problem was it was not distributed evenly throughout the world so the virus rages (and mutates) on.
It’s not the vaccine that did that but people trying to get rich/get attention from distributing misinformation, in my opinion. But yeah, quite depressing! Because people are dying unnecessarily.
A very dark cloud has been hanging over for a very long time. It’s probably the largest and darkest cloud I’ve ever experienced, oh wait, no it’s not but it seems like it because it seems to go on and on and on. I look for where the sun breaks through and seize on those moments. ‘Tis all I can do for now.
The soothsayer in me says to not ex pet 2022 to be any better, or worse, than 2021 or 2020. Covid is with us, and it will be with us for a long long time. The nature of the virus is that it will change, every six months or so, in every part of the world. The world is big. There will always be somewhere to catch Covid.
Rawgod, a little off topic, but you’re first nations aren’t you? If so, do your people have any myths on floods or catacylsmic events? I’m thinking about doing an assessment task on myth as astronomic information that has been handed down to warn us. I was obsessed about it during my theosophical studies years ago, and all of a sudden it’s come to my mind again.
Don’t be depressed. It’s much more fun to be self-righteous and outraged, now throw that mask away, yell at some sheep and pick a fight with someone on an airplane.

I’m glad for the vaccine as well, but in retrospect it managed to further divide the country and that’s depressing.

I try to find the humor. Though at times, it’s not easy.

Depressing? If you let it be. It’s life. We make of it what we can.

While I’m sure that’s the plan for many this season…. No. I won’t.

I was certain you wouldn’t. Sometimes sarcasm fires in a spread. I’m sure you know that, it’s part of what makes you cool.

Sarcasm is my middle name. And it could be, because I actually don’t have one.

You make a valid point. Horrible, but valid.

I agree, but is hating one another for causing all of our problems the kind of unity we need?
