Let’s play.

.

Because it could be fun, that’s why.

.

.

Let’s check out some of the good answers.

.

.

I feel you Dean, it’s been a while for me as well. Though not that long thankfully.

.

.

I don’t think that qualifies as a band, but… wow.

.

.

I know who they are! And saw them quite a few times in my youth.

.

.

Now you’re talking!

As for me, the last concert I saw was James Taylor. I loved James back in the day, and still enjoy his music when I’m in a mellow mood. Seeing him in concert is like sitting in his living room… very laid back.

So Thanksgiving dinner with Sweet Baby James in the Berkshires? Count me in.

How about you?

Who are you feasting with…

      1. Pisha……I’d be having Thanksgiving with Bruce Dickinson and the boys!! Maybe some of Willie’s special brownies would be present, I mean it’s Iron Maiden after all!!! Or, I could have Thanksgiving with the second to the last concert I attended, but it might be a similar experience…..METALLICA….(queue Nothing Else Matters)….yyyaass!

  1. Southern Culture on the Skids. We’re having fried chicken and little Debbie oatmeal cream pies. OH, LORD!
I love James Taylor. We get to hear a lot of him here in the home state. I heard John Denver this morning at the grocery store. I was singing under my mask and it made me feel happy. I’m glad to play.

      1. Okay you have got to check this guy out. Crazy-ass Texas rockabilly guitar 100% off the hook.
Martini Time is the title song of one more kick ass record. But don’t believe me, here it is.

      2. Cuttin’ and pastin’. I went to you tube, started playing it and copied the URL in the top window. I pasted it to the reply and we’re off!
I’m sorry to have intruded and I won’t do it again unless you say it’s all right.
That said, have you watched the video?

  2. Eric Burdon, not sure what his back-up band was called that time. We would be dining on llow-sugar food, as both of us are diabetic. He is still rocking by the way, as of last year. Before that was a reincarnation of The Zombies. A few originals with their chidren. Still a great show. No. I refuse to dine on dead human meat!

      1. He started with the Animals, most definitely. Then the New Animals after the first group broke up. That was followed by Eric Burdon and War until he figured War was polished enough to go on their own. (They did just that, being the #1 concert draw in the world for a year or two in the early 70s.,) After War came The Eric Burdon Band, then a series of stretches with people like Brian Auger and others, during which time I lost track of his efforts. In the late 70s and again in the mid 80s he got back together with the Original Animals, and produced two albums, but they didn’t last together long. From then on he just played with back-up bands that came and went. I saw him for the 1st time in 1967 in Winnipeg, and for the last time 3 or 4 years ago in Edmonton. Between those concerts I rocked with him in arenas, concert hall, and even bars, whenever I could get to see him. (I’m betting you cannot tell he was my favourite entertainer!) My favourite albums of his were Every One of Us from 1968 (Eric Burdon and the Animals, but really they were the “new” Animals), The Black Man’s Burdon from 1970 (Eric Burdon and War), and Before We Were So Rudely Interrupted from 1977 (Eric Burdon and the Original Animals). I would love to go on, but you are probably bored by now, lol.

      2. Yes, he has never retired, or not for long, at least. I believe he also owns a record store in Los Angeles, but I cannot say how much time he spends there, if any.

      1. According to “Return of the Living Dead”, the definitive worldwide authority on zombie behavior, zombies eat brains because it relieves the pain of being dead. This is no mere speculation. They strapped a zombie to a table and asked it. I hope this helps.
