    1. We might not like it, but hawks need to eat too. The birds adapted, though it was not easy. They changed their eating habits, striking fast wnd often, no sitting around leisurely eating. After a while the hawk moved on to greener pastures is all I can guess. He stopped coming.

    2. The doves are numerous and part of Mother Nature’s food chain… I never interfere. Hawk swoops in and takes his kill elsewhere. All we see are a few feathers on the ground.

      1. Lucky you, you don’t have to deal with those flying rats with wings pooping and absconding the cat food I set out for two of the neighborhood strays. I’ve taken to using my son’s pellet gun on those pests to keep them away from the cat food, ugh.
