I’m not a fan of electric cars.
I’m not a fan of Elon Musk.
And you’ll never see me driving a Tesla. Which, after reading this article makes me twice as glad.

.
No one wants that.
Trust me.

.
This is beyond disturbing.

The AI revolution is bad enough… but now the cars are spying on us and pushing porn?
Stop the world. I want to get off.
.
Not an Elon Musk fan either.

What good is a planet populated by voracious parasites who feed off of a largely unsuspecting populace?
BLECH!!!
Of course, to get off the planet, we’ll have to climb aboard one of Elon Musk’s rockets. 😀

I’d rather he take a ride on one of his rockets.

Cars pushing porn? That kind of explains hands-free driving. 😉

Invented by a man.
No doubt about it.

A few months ago I purchased an all electric Toyota and I love it. I find Musk to be problematic in so many ways. A few days ago, I saw a photo posted of a Tesla sporting this sticker: “I bought this car before I found out what an asshole he was.” 🤣

Well, Elon Musks employees are just as unscrupulous as he is.

I don’t drive a Tesla and never would, but we need to do something to get rid of fosil fuel burning machines.
And as long as our energy of choice is electricity, we need to rethink our whole electricity networks to produce the energy AND distribute it to every remote corner of the world, not to mention cities like New York, London, and Shanghai that have millions of inhabitants in tiny areas.
Our current gtids csnnot support billions of electric vehicles, but to keep fossil fuel burners is to commit self-genocide!

I wish someone would invest in making hydrogen less flammable. The Japanese power cars with it cleanly. Renewable and steam for exhaust.

But whoever invents and markets it can patent the process and corner the market.

It’s been invented before, you can bet on that. But the inventors are always bought out by Big Oil, and their inventions never see the light of day.
On a different topic I remember a 16 year-old girl in Winnipeg who for her science project accidentally invented a cure for the common cold. Big Pharma swept in and made her a millionaire, but they bought the patent off her, and it has never been heard of again. It made the news in Winnipeg, but I doubt anyone else ever heard about it. A few days later the newspaoer headline read COMMON COLD CURE HOAX, with a two paragraph story about why the cure did not work, But no one at her school got a cold that year, so we all knew the headline was the real hoax.
And capitalism goes merrily along. If there is money to be made in keeping something quiet, it will be done.

I had heard stories like this before, but aside from wanting them to be true — that people were inventing things that could help the human race — I put it down to urban legends. Then the story I told above hit the papers. They interviewed the girl after, and she was in tears. The people who bought the patent had promised her big things, including a % of the profits. When she read the headline stories she knew the people had lied to her, but she could not say anything about the specifics. Her silence was bought and paid for. A % of nothing is nothing.
To go on, a number of years ago a guy in England invented a material he called Starbrite. It did not burn or decay under great heat. Imagine houses being built with this stuff. And having heard stories like the one the girl told, he refused to sell the patent to anyone. He wanted to produce it himself. But no one would invest in it, and he could not afford to produce it on his own. No banks would loan him any money. He never wrote the formula down in case it got stolen, and he died without his invention ever being used. And no one has has ever figured it out. How many building fires happen around the world every year? They could all be prevented.

Someday scientists will crack cold fusion… and we’ll probably never know.

That may have already been done. But scientists have a better chance at having their discoveries and inventions actualized. Average people like you and me, no chance at all.

EV…no thank you. CT is banning them by 2035. Our Power Grid won’t handle it.

Holy mackerel. If I found a video of me singing to Whitney Houston, while in the privacy of my own car, I’d be furious. (Much less, something worse than my singing. 😜)

We could singlehandedly end our dependence on fossil fuel-powered automobiles if we just took our cue from The Flintstones. I yabba-dabba-doo believe Fred and Barney got along just fine with a car that relied on footpower instead of horsepower.
