Good grief, there are so many I don’t know where to start…

I shall try to limit myself to 5.

1. Avatar.

I don’t see the appeal, never did. And if you love it, please don’t try to change my mind. I don’t care how much money they spent on the “Let’s add water!” sequel, I’m not watching that either.

2. Dumb and Dumber.

The title says it all.

3. Twilight.

Do not get me started on this ridiculous teenage vampire crap. If you’re over 13 and enjoyed these badly written and acted films? We can no longer be friends.

4. I’ll probably piss some people off with this one, but Back To The Future. Marty McFly? Sorry, no to all 3.

5. With a slight exception for Deadpool (because it’s snarky) and maybe Venom (because let’s face it I’d watch Tom Hardy mop his kitchen floor) the never ending parade of super hero, Marvel, DC Universe, multi verse whatever movies. Enough already. Every time I want to go to a movie, they’re all that’s playing. It’s time to move on.

  2. I think a more fair question would be a movie that everyone likes that you have no interest seeing, because I wouldn’t sit through a movie I disliked. That said, I can’t answer the question. I am so choosey about movies (and books), I don’t watch movies that often. Maybe once a month, if that. And the ones I do like I tend to watch over and over.
    I tell everyone I’m not a movie person and didn’t think I could reach 100 movies that I love, but I actually did!!
    So, my answer would be “The Godfather” because I’m not attracted to mob movies and I never watched it. I do love the theme song though.

    2. I get sucked in by friends saying, “ Oh, you have to watch (insert bad movie name) It’s great!”
      It never is.
      Though I admit I do like The Godfather trilogy.

  3. Frankenstein. James Whale and the hacks at Universal turned one of the great novels of all time into a bucket of vanilla flavored mush and all the Tesla coils in the world couldn’t save it. If a story is too dark for the tender sensibilities of your audience, make a different movie. Sorry, Mary.

  6. I’m not much of a movie fan, tho I was when I was younger (much) and I favored movies that were made before I was born. Nowadays? Anything more than 90 minutes is off my watch list, I don’t have the patience.

    Anything animated, aside from “Coraline” and “The Boy, the mole, the fox and the horse”. Anything that involves car chases, things blowing up and a lot of violence, anything revolving around teenagers. I did like Deadpool 1 but not Deadpool 2 but I fast forwarded through some of the fight scenes. When I watch movies by myself I fast forward through the boring parts but when I watch with my husband I can’t do that. There are no comedies anymore. So pretty much I just plain don’t watch movies.

    Oh, how about anything directed by Martin Scorsese?

  11. Im lucky. My town does not have a theatre. The last movie I saw at a theatre was Avatar, however long ago that was, and I hated it. Being a longtime science fiction fan I have been through almost every human meets alien scenario, and Avatar was amateurish at best.
    Since I have no concept of what a well-liked movie is, I do not go to block-buster movies, so I have no idea what I dislike. Therefore I will reverse the question and tell you Academy Award winning movies I did enjoy in the laxt 60 years: Annie Hall, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. If there were others, I have forgotten them, so they had no staying power for me.
    I mentioned the other day I think, maybe here, maybe on another blog, little know movies I really like are: Tribes, The Strawberry Statement, Amazon Women on the Moon (I may have bastardized the title), and Phantom of the Paradise — which I helped turn into a cult movie, since other cult movies were mentioned above.
    That’s the best I can do to play.

  12. The Notebook. I remember my Ex-Husband and I arriving at his Sister’s house and everyone watching it. Luckily, it was almost over. At the end, his whole family was crying..but, he and I were like, “Gag”!
