The next project begins.

.

Our house is a bit disorganized at the moment. There’s a bench in front of the office closet..

.

.

Living room coffee tables are in the den…

.

.

And an arm chair is blocking the front door.

.

.

Things are where they shouldn’t be because the contractor is going to start work on the beam and ceiling from Hell this week .

.

.

Since the roof leak has finally been fixed, it’s time to get rid of this eyesore.

.

.

To which I say…

Yay!

  1. That looks like fun, certainly much more fun than, say, going out for dinner and drinks or knocking around antique stores, but maybe not as much as repaving your driveway or vandalizing your ditch.
Okay, I kid. I kid because I love. This headache will end. Until then you may want to think about sharpening your eight ball game. Good luck.

      1. Two bathrooms was the best thing we ever did. What was supposed to be a sort of rec room/man cave suddenly became a bedroom for us — though not a legal one cuz it has no closet. But we now have a “sleeping room” we love, and a bathroom just a few steps away. We liked our house as it was, but now we love it.
        Happy Renovating!

  2. Oh I remember that beam and how much you detest it and the water spots, lol. I have started two DIY home improvement projects that have stalled. I’m trying to find the energy to continue because my house is my haven and I want to feel comfy in it. You should film bits here and there and post them, lol..

    1. We need new furniture but I won’t buy that until we replace the floors. And I won’t put in new flooring until that beam and ceiling are fixed. To be honest, there’s so much that needs to be updated here it’s overwhelming.
